The Sammi Schulz Leather Leadership Award

 Sammi Schulz
The SC Leather Contest will be presenting the Sammy Shultz Award!  The award will be presented at the Formal Tea Party in Greenville, SC May 28, 2011
at 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm see News & Events page.
Who will the recipient be?

In each community there are groups, clubs and organizations striving to educate and provide opportunities for social interaction. There are also individuals who are helping setup, tear down, teach, donate, coordinate, and plan these events. Our community relies on the generosity and efforts of these people to help promote a positive image of our lifestyle and who give freely of themselves for the betterment of our community. Because of these folks, The SC Leather Contest wants to recognize these groups and/or the volunteers who donate their time, talents, and resources that keep our community growing!

Born and raised in Lexington, SC, Sammi Schulz was one of the first leaders the SC Leather community. A member of The New Tribe 1987-1990 and first SC Leatherman to hold a Regional Leather Title, Mid-Atlantic Drummer boy, 1988. He went to San Francisco for the national Drummer boy title. He did not win, but was first to represent SC in a national contest and noticed for his efforts by the Southeastern Leather Community.
