SC Leather Contest and Titles history.

 
(Most of these I, Master Regi-, was involved in, in various degrees of work.) I do not claim to know of all contests or SC titleholders, so if I miss anything or anyone, please let me know dates, names and places.

Spring, 1988. Sam Schultz a member of “TNT”, South Carolina native and Columbia resident, was “Mid-Atlantic Drummer boy 1988”, at the contest held somewhere up north, before I came to Columbia. This qualified him for the “1988 Mr. Drummer” finals that are held in San Francisco’s Galleria, September 24, 1988. He did not win the “Drummer boy” contest.

 

November 18-20, 1988, Mr. South East Leather, is held in Columbia, SC. The contest winner was a slave from Atlanta, GA, David M. Kraus.

 

April 14-16, 1989. “Mr. Rebel Leather”, takes place in Columbia, SC. Marc B, won this contest and went onto Mr. SE Drummer, where he took 2nd runner-up!

 

October 25, 1990. Mr. Leather Columbia contest was held at the Matrix bar, Columbia. It is not known who won this contest.

 

November 10, 1990. Mr. Upstate Carolina contest was held at Cheyenne Cattleman’s Club in Spartanburg. It is not known who won this contest.

 

November 16-18, 1990, Brigade member, Ken Wilson, became “Mr. Dixie Leather”, at the contest held during “Southern Leathers”, (a.k.a., “Tex Productions)”, weekend. This was a qualifying event for IML May 24-27, 1991, in Chicago.

 

May 24-27, 1991. Ken W, winner of “Mr. Dixie Leather” attends and competes in IML, along with about 50 others from the USA, Canada and one contestant from Italy. Ken represents L/L Brigade, The Trading Post Leather Goods and The Matrix bar, but sadly, did not win, place or show.

 

August 13-15, 1993. The 1993, Mr. Southeast Leather contest is held in Spartanburg during the Spartans anniversary run, “Games II” at the Cheyenne Cattleman’s Club. The Spartans LLC, of Spartanburg, SC, hosts this event. The contest winner is Darryl Flick.

 

July 5, 1995. Member, Roger McC, leaves Brigade, but not Leather and moves to Oklahoma. In 1998, he wins the title of Oklahoma Mr. Leather 1998.

 
*** The only SC Leather Title Contest - March 30, 1996, the Spartans, Brigade and Trident Knights come together once more to hold the 1st “Mr. and Ms. South Carolina Leather & South Carolina Leatherboy” Contest at “The Arcade”, in Charleston, SC. The winners: Mr. was Michael B, of the “Spartans”, Ms. went to boy dana, of "Brigade” and boy was boy chris of the “Trident Knights”.

 

September 11-13, '98. At the Coastal Empire Sentinels’ run in Savannah GA, Mr. (Ms) Southern Coastal States Leather & leather boy/girl is held. Victor L & Chris P, both of the Trident Knights, win Mr. & boy titles, respectively. 

 

June 1999. S.E.L.F. in Atlanta holds several Leather contests. Among the winners are, International Master/slave - Khiki Cavannarro and Samantha. Also, this year finds 3 winning contestants from SC's Trident Knights; Ms Leather Pride - Paula Smith; SouthEast Mr Drummer - Shawn Couch; SouthEast Drummer boy - Boy Chris.

 

June 8-10, 2007. Former BGLSA, (USC), president, 1999-2001, Angela “Q” wins the title of SouthEast BootBlack at S.E.L.F. in Atlanta, GA.

 

June 13-15, 2008. S.E.L.F. is held in Atlanta GA. Congratulations go out to former T3WD member Amanda, who competes in the Bootblack contest.

 

October 10 - 12, 2008. The Reading Railmen, hold their 30th Anniversary Run in Reading PA. CLAWS member, Dakota, wins the Ms. Reading Leather title.

 

February 13-15, 2009. SECC holds its First-Annual Mr. SECC Leather Contest at the Parliament House, in Augusta, GA. Jeff Jarnigan is the winner. 

 

June 12, 2009. CLAWS member Dakota, wins American Brotherhood's, American Leatherwoman title 2009.

 

Feb, 2010. Eddie Vizcaya of the Trident Knights comes in 1st Runner Up in the Mr. SECC Leather Contest, held in Augusta, GA.
