Hey folks,
 
I have been around since 1988, here in Columbia, SC. Many of you know me or have heard of me. I am commonly known as, Master Regi-.
 
I am getting things geared up for the return of The SC Leather Contest, so I thought it would be a good time to introduce myself, for those who do not know me.
I hope to get as much of SC's Leather/BDSM communities to join in and make this a true SC event. All are encouraged to get involved and will be very welcome, regardless of Sexual orientation, identification, (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Pansexual, Heterosexual and any others I may have left out), young, old, Dom, Master, sub, slave, any race, color, (legal) age, etc.
 
Contests have been done before and they can happen again, with your help.
I hope this can be a good thing to bring the scattered SC Leather/BDSM communities together for a smaller version of SELF, IML, MAL or M/s, and similar events here in SC.
 
My history.
I became formally involved with the Leather/BDSM scene in the SE back in 1988, when I first moved to Columbia.
In the fall of 1988, I joined The New Tribe (TNT) of Columbia (A Gay Men's Leather Club), SC. TNT folded in the Summer of 1990.
Fall of 1990 I joined the newly forming Levi/Leather Brigade, became president several times. Brigade began as Gay Male but later opened to all gender orientations and identifications. Brigade folded in 2000.
Sept 1995. As President of LL Brigade and along with the Trident Knights and the Spartans, form joint venture known as "Palmetto Adventure", to celebrate all 3 club's anniversaries together and held in Spartanburg, SC
March 14, 1996, a letter from “Leather Community Productions”, owned by Clifford Hooks and Rich Richardson, requested Master Regi-, (President of “Brigade”), to be a judge for the South East ‘96 Drummer Competition being held over the SouthEast LeatherFest weekend being held June 14-16, in Atlanta GA.
1996-1998. Guest speaker for several Sociology classes at Midlands Technical College on being a Gay Leatherman.
In 1999, before Brigade folded, I had joined the pansexual Munch group, This Thing That We Do (T3WD). Currently Sgt At Arms.
2006. Guest on Susan Johnson's Radio Program, "Sex After Midnight" twice, talking on Leather/BDSM and The SC Gay Pride Movement..
I was a moderator for Midlands Power Exchange and a moderator for Charleston Eros. Both disbanded now.
Sept 2009. Formation of The SC Leather Contest.
Jan, 2010, I become an Associate member of the Leather Order of the Midlands.
Sept 18, 2010. The SC Leather Contest is brought back to SC.
Dec 3, 2010. Attend and present at 1st LeatherFet in Fort Mill, SC.
January 2011. Founder and 1st term President of the Tri River Guardians, Columbia, SC.
April 2011. Attend and present at "Instinct: Columbia's Fetish Ball".
 
I also offer several demos and presentations including "The Leather/BDSM History of SC", "Hot Wax", "Safer BDSM and HIV/STDs", "Alternate Bondage", "Deviance On A Dime", as well as topic discussions on various "BDSM 101", "Old Guard", "Hanky Code", etc.
 
My own independent efforts include forming several options to play parties in the form of socials, SIGs, outings to night clubs, the State Fair and several other non-lifestyle events.
